This piece is an enquiry about determining the price of a tree through simplistic calculations, notes and illustrations. Each drawing corresponds to a calculation based on actual measurements and considerations such as the tree as wooden floor, as the land it occupies, as plant, as coal etc. A living tree is always ‘valuable’ but never has a precise monetary price. This work is dealing with the issue of establishing a value for everything around us, including and especially a tree, an important element of the ecosystem.
